Head swirling
Steady as a rock
Mind reeling
Standing still
Heart thumping
Beating not
Really feeling
Then again not
The touch of a hand
In absence dwells
A heart torn apart
Whole and well
Imposing a thought
Clean slate
With no legs to walk
Run away
Heaven or hell
No way to tell
Love it
Leave it
All thoughts prevail

I think we have conflicting thoughts that include all that you portrayed in your poem. It is sad when we don’t know our direction, but I feel you are on your way in the right one! I believe in you, my friend Teela! Take it easy on yourself! One step at a time, and thank you for sharing the walk with us. It is time well spent! Hugs, Robin

Thank you Jenni. That means a lot, I’ve never written this kind of thing before the last few days and I’m not sure what to call it. But your encouragement is treasured.

My pleasure, Teela! (I love your name!)
I want to promote your cause as I have Secret Angel’s. I can’t imagine the physical abuse…I do know something of the emotional abuse side.
Had an “ex” who still hates me, after some 15 years now… We both had a part in our marital problems, but never any physical stuff.
However, she certainly knows how to HATE! She has managed to turn our kids against me, and make me fully responsible for the marriage failing. After many years of complete dysfunction, I had to get out…
Anyway, you didn’t need to hear all that! “TMI” as they say.
Best of success with your work here,
Steve

Thank you Steve for sharing with me. Emotional abuse has the same result as physical and is especially sad when children are involved.
I appreciate your support in my cause. I believe it’s detrimental to bring about change.
Thank you again Steve and I welcome any help from your Secret Angel’s.

Yes it is…emotional abuse can be worse in some ways because many physical wounds heal…but it’s hard to tell about emotions…
We’ll talk again soon, Teela!
